Unlocked brand guidelines

Our logo, colours and type, ready to use well.

Everything you need to show Unlocked properly: the files, the colours, the type and the few rules that keep it looking like us. Download freely. Please ask before it appears anywhere.

Please ask before you use our logo.

The Unlocked name, wordmark and symbol belong to EB Unlocked Limited. Tell us where it will appear and we'll confirm in writing. It only takes a minute.

Ask for permission

The wordmark introduces a distinctive ‘un’ ligature. A simple visual expression of opening, shifting and unlocking.

It works within the wordmark and on its own, giving Unlocked an ownable symbol without leaning on familiar lock or key clichés.

02Symbol and icon

Small enough for a tab, still unmistakable.

The ligature holds its opening down to sixteen pixels. On its own it is our favicon and app icon; on a midnight circle it is our avatar.

Unlocked | Expertise that matters

In a browser tab the symbol is one colour, so the shape does the talking.

03Using it

A little room, and nothing added.

The logo is at its best untouched. Give it space, keep it legible and put it on one of our colours or a calm part of a photo.

Clear space

Keep other text, logos and edges at least the height of the ‘u’ away, on every side.

80px · 20mm
16px

Minimum size

The wordmark no narrower than 80 pixels on screen or 20mm in print. Below that, use the symbol, down to 16 pixels.

Backgrounds

Midnight, cream or white. On a photo, use the white logo over a calm, darker area.

Please don't

Stretch or squash it
Rotate it
Change its colours
Add shadows or effects
Put mint on a light background
Place it over a busy photo

And please don't redraw the wordmark or set ‘unlocked’ in a typeface. The ligature only exists in the artwork, so always use the files.

04Colour

Authority, with warmth.

Midnight gives a credible foundation; softer, more human tones keep us out of corporate territory. Tap a colour to copy it.

Balance

Midnight, mint and cream lead. Terracotta and lilac come in selectively for warmth and variety. The proportions show the overall balance, not a formula for every layout.

Find a mentor

Unlocked is a business mentoring platform. We connect founders, leaders and teams by video with hand-picked, verified mentors who have already built, scaled or fixed what you are facing now, matched to your exact situation.

Put the key phrase of a headline in mint on dark, or deep teal on light. Never italic.

The Unlock
06Graphic device

The Unlock in use.

Drawn straight from the wordmark, The Unlock is our signature shape. It opens, reveals and reframes content: the clarity that comes from speaking to someone who has already faced the problem in front of you. Use it sparingly, one bold move per layout.

Open

A business owner smiling at his laptop at a kitchen table
Creates a sense of transition and movement

Frames people and ideas

07Photography

Candid, not posed.

People in conversation, making decisions, in the reality of running a business. Natural places and documentary framing earn credibility that polished corporate portraits can't.

An experienced man on a phone call, laptop on his knee
A café owner in an apron standing in the doorway of her restaurant
A woman at home on a video call, faces on her laptop screen
